I sometimes joke about this office. 'Upside-down basement', because there are no windows and there is only one staircase available for access. Lack of windows can become pain in the ass during the hotter part of the year: The need to keep the air conditioning unit turned on or this place becomes stuffy. The fact that a large kitchen is situated directly underneath us is double pain in the ass. Whenever the kitchen becomes busy, its smell ascends into the office.
