Subtitle: It is raining cats and d ... raining nurses.

Debit: Hey, Vickie!  I think you better check up on Molly.

Vickie: The last time I saw her, she was fully absorbed in a scuffle with Roughwallop's employees.

Debit: Well, Molly has taken out quite a number of them.  Soon or later Mr. Roughwallop will enliven the slugfest.

Vickie: To be on the safe side, I should check up on her.

(Vickie runs around and searches for Molly.)

(Just as soon as Vickie finds Molly, she notices something is up.)

Vickie:  Uh, oh ....

(A powerful blast out of nowhere rattles and stupefies everyone.)

Molly: W ... what is going on?

(Molly turns her head around and sees a bunch of shocked nurses flying all over in the wake of the blast.)

Molly: Instead of raining cats and dogs, it is raining nurses?  W ... what the hell?!

(The nurses on the receiving end of the surprise attack are flying all over the place; their eyes dilated and glistening like the eyes from porcelain dolls.)

Molly: My Devil in Hell!

******

Upper left corner and bottom right corner panels:

1. Both Vickie and Molly are having 'what the hell' moment.  Obviously, they have become too comfortable fighting less powerful opponents; but they are not prepared for an unanticipated turn of event in the form of the blast out of nowhere.

2. The hexagonal pattern behind Molly is based on almost the same pattern found in the previous page.

The main panel:

1. The circle in the middle with three projecting beams is the blast out of nowhere.  I thought of adding more beams to add more weight to the blast, but I realized that this would take up too much drawing space; there would be not enough space left to draw the nurses.

2. Having the nurses fly all over in the wake of the blast gave me an opportunity to exploit their poses to draw upskirt and panty shots.  Gratuitous peeking!  This is one of the reasons why drawing girls can be more fun at times.  :D

3. The nurses receive pretty much the same sort of facial and eye treatments Roughwallop's men have been getting: shocked, stupefied, and hapless.  Up to this point, it has been the males who have been physically abused.  Well, now it is the ladies' turn!

4. The background in the main panel follows a gradient in which the darkest area is situated below the crouching nurse in the bottom left corner -- she is on ground -- while the lightest area is situated above the jumping nurse in the top right corner.  This arrangement was done in order to suggest that the nurses are not floating in the middle of nowhere.

5. The nurses do not follow any particular formation.  Instead, they appear to be scattering all over.  This is to further suggest that they are no longer in control over the battle.

6. If this image is enlarged, one is most likely to notice diagonally arranged stippling in the background.  This is the first stippling pass.  Subsequent passes follow different directions.  In short, this is similar to what one would do when cross-hatching.  This multi-pass variable-direction technique might be useful for those who want to try stippling in a more methodical manner.

Miscellaneous:

1. The rather large, rounded, and elongated black box in the bottom was the result of messing up while working on the bottom margin.  Had the bottom margin worked out smoothly, it would have had a more streamlined appearance.

2. 23:50, 5 Mar 2014: I am going to replaced the image file. Some streak marks were found towards the upper left part of the margin. GIMP was used to retouch them. This in one of the annoying thing about LCD display; it is easier to pick up blemishes from old CRT display.  Unfortunately, the master file is at my office. I have posted a smaller file for the time being.  I will retrieve the master file and tweak it the same way I have just done with this quick fix.
