Subtitle: Cavalry ... what?
Debit: At this rate, Molly will become constricted by the sheer weight of the bombs.
Vickie: Well, Molly is between a rock and a hard place; either get blown up by the bombs or get crushed by the bombs.
Debit: You seem calm, Vickie.
Vickie: It's a toss-up now: heads, the cavalry saves the day; tails, the bombs will grad tomorrow's headline.
Debit: It will be interesting to see how the MPs will handle Mr. Roughwallop.
Vickie: A manhood vs. another manhood? Splendid.
Debit: Fight fire with fire? But considering Molly's predicament, this may be the only way out.
Vickie: Yeah, I know. I'm just hoping that the MPs bring in an arsenal of their own. My only worry is if they're serious about it. After all, these guys spend most of their time handing out parking citations. Not that there's much room for live fire exercises in our beloved City State of Totenheim.
******
Upper left corner:
1. I wanted to use this small panel to offer a snapshot of Molly trying desperately to keep the fuses of Roughwallop's manhoo ... *ahem* ... bombs from hitting the ground. Understandably, the sheer weight of the unexploded bombs are taking toll on her. Poor Molly!
2. 'Help ... !' started out as white space. However, I felt that leaning it blank causes too much contrast between the letters and the background. How to reconcile them? Form gradients through stippling. Easy, eh?
The rest of this page:
1. Advertisement. Introducing ... Doltswagen! Have you had enough of the ordeals of rush hour gridlock? Have you become sick and tired of pesky cyclists and jay walkers? Have you been bullied by SUVs and pickup trucks? We have a solution for you! Doltswagen comes with anti-tank gun, autocannon, coaxial machine gun. Whether you decide to blow away gridlocks or hose down cyclists, you get to choose. With the powerful anti-tank gun, you have option of HE, HEAT, HESH, APDS, APFDS, schrapnel shells and more! Of course, with Doltswagen, you have the right of way; you need not concern yourself with signal lights and stop signs. Above all, cops in your cross-hair will have to risk their lives trying to pull you over. They will be pissing in their pants!
Doltswagen is inspired by my hunger for absurdity through combining Volkswagen New Beetle and contemporary main battle tank. The logo shown in the front of Doltswagon looks very similar to that of Volkswagen: 'DW' instead of 'VW'. Furthermore, I think the development of Doltswagen was also influenced by spending hours watching recorded videos of World of Tanks gameplays.
Absurdity is goooooooooood!
2. The asphalt ate up most of the clock. Not only because it took up the most area in this page, but several passes of stippling had to be run to add gradient.
3. The letters shown near the upper right corner was initially white. However, that would have created too much clash with the predominantly grey background. Therefore, stippling along the outlines of these letters was done to make them to appear faded out, thus reducing the contrast.
4. The same applies to the larger letters shown near the bottom; leaving them white would have resulted in causing too much contrast between them and the asphalt.
5. The blurred lane markings and the fading streak-like track and wheel marks were added to suggest that they are in motion.
